My name is Cynthia PhươngAnh Lê — I’m a chef & cultural archivist from the Bay Area.

As a chef, I draw my inspirations from traditional cooking methods and family recipes to create dishes that aim to capture the flavors of my childhood growing up around diasporic community in the Bay and travels across Vietnam. My approach to Vietnamese food centers seasonality & community, and carry this ethos through all sea2sea popups and events.
I started this project as a way to deepen my connection to my ancestral foodways, while sharing my love for gathering people around communal nourishment. Beyond food, sea2sea is a cultural preservation and celebration initiative. This evolving project aims to share the beauty in the blends + exchanges of culture between the coasts; currently: on radio.
